The Director of Marketing is responsible for the planning, development and implementation of all corporate marketing strategies, communication strategies, advertising strategies and Public Relations activities internally and externally.

This position mandates that the employee be able to perform all of the following functions:
-Direct the day-to-day efforts of the marketing staff and coordinate strategic and tactical initiatives with other departments within the organization 
-Develop short-term and long-term plans and budgets related to marketing activities, initiatives and objectives 
-Establish and achieve marketing, advertising, public relations, communications, and financial goals and objectives 
-Conduct market analysis and gauge success of marketing efforts using metrical data 
-Lead development and execution of existing customer marketing strategies for specific target segments 
-Ensure development of, integration with, and reinforcement of Caterpillar-brand strategies and principles 
-Coordinate Strategic Caterpillar Initiatives 
-Act as the Cleveland Brother Equipment Company's Caterpillar Marketing Liaison

This position may perform any combination of the following duties:
-Reinforce company presence and generate new business leads and referrals by identifying and overseeing industry events, trade shows, speaking engagements, and other public relations activities 
-Oversee the planning, creation, content writing, editing, scheduling and delivery of all company newsletters, advertisements, and other marketing materials 
-Provide expert analysis and direction on all website-related activities, communication, and Customer Relationship Management initiatives 
-Define "rules" and structures required for utilizing Customer Relationship Management capabilities to deliver targeted offers to identified customers 
-Effectively enables staff to take action on behalf of the organization by communicating company values, mission, vision and direction 
-Coaches the marketing staff for success, including providing direction, resources and training to develop staff skills 
-Other duties as required

-Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of marketing, advertising, communications and public relations activities 
-Must have prior experience in email marketing, online advertising and promotional campaigns (management, execution and monitoring) 
-Must have strong leadership, strong communications skills, be creative, strategic, analytical, organized and interpersonal skills 
-Ability to develop and manage budgets, hiring, training, developing and appraising personnel 
-Successful experience in making presentations and handling negotiations 
-Experience in overseeing the design and production of print material and publications 
-Ability to identify and evaluate potential commercial risks 
-Ability to translate conceptual ideas into written proposals, including return on investment and budget forecasting 
-Ability to manage time and prioritize effectively 
-Able to maintain a high degree of customer satisfaction 
-Conducts oneself in a professional, ethical, and responsible manner 
-Must be an advocate of conducting business according to company guidelines 
-Must have excellent technological skills

This position requires all of the following minimum requirements:
-BS/BA in Marketing or Business Required 
-Minimum of 10 years of experience with leadership roles and strategy formulation 
-Minimum of 5 years of Sales/Marketing experience (related industry preferred)

- Domestic travel required
